Dave grohl dedica la canción ‘These Days’ a Kurt Cobain y Kris Novoselic

Antes de comenzar su presentación en el Festival de Reading de Inglaterra, la banda Foo Fighters sorprendió al público cuando su líder, Dave Grohl, anunció que ese sería uno de los últimos conciertos de la gira que promocionó Wasting Light,  su más reciente álbum.
La banda estadounidense se alejará de los escenarios por una temporada. “Este es nuestro último show por un largo tiempo”, dijo el guitarrista, según una nota publicada en la revista NME.
Durante el concierto, Grohl, que a principio de año estuvo en nuestro país, le dedicó las canciones “Walk” y “Monkey Wrench” a sus dos hijas, Violet y Harper.
Pero el momento más emocionante de la noche fue cuando tocó “These Days” en honor a sus ex compañeros de Nirvana, el fallecido Kurt Cobain y Krist Novoselic, ya que 20 años atrás, en el mismo escenario, la agrupación daba su último concierto en Inglaterra en el mismo escenario.

“Quiero dedicar esta canción a un par de personas que no pudieron estar aquí esta noche, Kris and Kurt”, expresó el ex baterista de Nirvana.

Este año, el último disco de Foo Fighters, Wasting Light, ganó cinco premios Grammy 2012.
